Hornby Magazine Yearbook No 4 featuring St Stephens Road, a Western Region OO gauge layout project.Mike Wild, editor of Hornby Magazine has produced another great yearbook. If you don’t buy the magazine on a regular basis, it gives you a nice easy to read, diverse topic, hardback book that is an enjoyable read on it’s own. If, on the other hand, you buy every issue then having the yearbook just completes your set.
Hornby Magazine Yearbook No 4 brings the best of 2011 to the bookshelf. Onec again Mike Wild, who edits Hornby Magazine, has compiled a fantastic selection of articles to please modellers of all scales.
There is an interesting selection of articles in Hornby Magazine Yearbook No 4 and this includes:
- St Stephens Road, a really great British Railways Western Region layout in OO gauge
- How to build plastic building kits
- The british 0-6-0 goods engine
- The use of weathering powders to provide an aged look to your models
- A great “how to” guide on developing model railway scenery.
- And much much more…..
All in all Hornby Magazine Yearbook No 4 is great value for money when compared with the magazine, and brings a great selection of new content. Not just a rehash of Hornby Magazine content for the year. Having said that th book is probably best for someone new to the hobby or someone who does not regularly purchase a monthly model railway magazine. An attractive, well produced book with a practical hardback cover.
